This is because of blue light. The blue light emitted by mobile phone and tablet screens is a visible light wave with a wavelength range of 380-550nm that affects circadian rhythm regulation. Scientific research shows that blue light can cause damage to the retina and easily lead to the eye disease age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Exposure to blue light suppresses the secretion of melatonin, a hormone that affects circadian rhythms. It has been proven that reducing blue light can effectively help sleep.
